Delightfully rough around the ed-ges, today’s frantic pop soundbite comes direct from British up-and-comer Ed The Dog.

The second single ripped from his forthcoming debut album Shame, “Yes Men” is a fervent, bass heavy track that’s crammed with soul. Chronicling his meandering journey through the world of part-time work, the fresh cut is a relentless, surging offering  overflowing with discontent. It’s a track relevant to twenty-somethings nationwide, battling it out to pursue a career you love whilst smiling your way through a job you secretly hate.

A melding of raw, aggressive riffs and blunt, tongue in cheek lyricism reminiscent of Brit pop legends like Blur, the song is a foot-tapper to be sure. It’s a filthy, heartfelt helping of Twenty-First Century cynicism – and we can’t get enough of it.
