FLING

Serving  up a sublime blend of psych-pop and glam-rock (try saying that after a few tequilas), US export FLING have unleashed the delightfully fresh “Banjo Billy”.

The guitar laden offering is as carefree as they come. Throwing us headfirst into a 3 minute whirlwind of stomp-worthy euphoria, this 90s infused cut is doused with the band’s bold musical sensibilities. Chronicling the various musos and quirky characters residing in their hometown of Bolton, the track is a glorious melting pot of wonky energy.

Hailing from Bradford, the five-piece – formed of Charles McSorley (vocals), Jack Winn (guitar), Billy Fielding (drums), Jake Lees (bass) and Sam Malynowsky (keyboards) – resemble a quintessentially eccentric family you’d cross the street to avoid. Yet, having honed their bold, pop-orientated sound, FLING are a group you can’t help but love and embrace – quirks and all.

The infectious cut comes ahead of the band’s The Legend of Banjo Billy EP release, a ball of life that’s set for release on April 13th. Until then, be sure to check out the fresh cut below!
