Jesse Jo Stark is back, and this time, the femme fatale brings forth a guitar riddled offering in the form of “Rot Away”.
Splicing surging flecks of classic rock with melting, undulating choruses, the follow up to “Fire of Love” and “Wish I Was Dead!” is a smouldering affair with the power to bore unrelentingly into your unsuspecting brain. Indulgent, retro-tinged and with enough character to charm you into submission, as singles go, it’s a blissfully sworded albeit psychedelic affair.
Embellished with sultry, reverb laden vocals that can’t help but seduce, the track is a powerful show of force from the LA native. Joining forces with The Vaccines on their forthcoming October US tour and 12 date UK tour, it would be rude to miss the opportunity to catch Stark in the flesh.
