Simple Fiction

Marching forth like some kind of all-powerful indie army, Simple Fiction‘s latest cut is a force to be reckoned with.

Invoking flecks of One Stop favourites Arms Akimbo, Circa Waves and a nostalgic smattering of naughtiest mid-tempo rock, fresh cut “Tall Stories” is an easy listen if ever there was one. Combining melancholy undertones with twisting guitar lines, its yet another succinct offering from these likely London lads.

“‘Tall Stories’ is a very open and honest expression of anxiety for an uncertain future,” note the band, “whilst hiding beneath the frame work of an upbeat and hopeful musical foundation.”

Debut single “Enough” started 2018 with a bang, and this track acts as a prime follow-up. It’s a steady, forward surging affair, one that is well worth a minute (or three) of your undivided listening time.
