Spinning soulful vocals with flecks of electro has led Jessie Early to create an alternative pop bliss in the form of new single “Holy Ghost“.

The second single taken from her upcoming EP Wild Honey, “Holy Ghost” is a track that feels eerily familiar. It’s Early’s tone that really seals the deal, adding a suitably alternative blend to proceedings, interlaced with soaring synth-heavy choruses reminiscent of high-flyers like CHVRCHES and Halsey.

Hailing from Nashville and nurtured on a blend of rock greats like Fleetwood Mac and Springsteen, there’s no question this influence has found its way into Early’s sound. “I feel like a lot of people are recreating the iconic 80s sounds right now,” she remarks, “but I really wanted to explore some of the stuff I didn’t necessarily feel like people were doing — big arena drums, guitar solos, and super arranged background vocals.”

It’s a sound that leaves you with the old foot tapping bug and the urge to belt out a Rick Astley classic at the top of your lungs (in the best possible way), all without feeling dated. Jessie Early is a talent to keep your ear out for.
