Moxi

With a name that sounds more like a delicious Japanese treat than a fully fledged dream pop darling, Moxi is here to commandeer your eardrums.

Hailing from Californ-i-a,  LA duo Moxi have unleashed new track “Figures Bathed in Light” upon the world. Infectious electronic melodies intertwine with surging electronic fills to create an intriguingly etherial sound. With over a million streams thus far Spotify, Moxi has been caught up in a whirlwind of attention.

A track that would sit right at home on the Made In Chelsea soundtrack (if you get what we mean), Moxi make for the perfect summer listen. Written following a near-fatal car crash, the duo don’t hold back when it comes to divulging their inspiration.

Behind all the drifting soundscapes, I always build a violence and tension into the music, even if it’s not overtly present at first”, admits Andy. “We bring all of these elements together in a way that is hopefully relatable and memorable because ultimately, we want people to feel understood through our music.

Moxi’s upcoming EP (of the same name) was not only produced by Emmy Award-winning songwriter Bobby Hartry, but mixed by the one and only Bryan Cook (think Radiohead and Beck). Now you’ve got no reason to ignore today’s god-like offering.

So, given all that you’ve heard, it’s about time you took a few minutes out to listen to this nugget of pop goodness – we’re pretty much the musical golden arches of music.
