A soaring dose of indie-pop is on the loose and it’s coming for you, infectious hooks ‘n’ all.

NONA, AKA Los Angeles-based Michael Goldman, is serving up a vibrant dose of fresh new music and it’s become apparent we have no self control. Blending searing riffs with intoxicating, up-tempo melodies, fresh cut “Girls” is bold and boisterous, making itself right at home in the midst of any summer playlist.

Having already toured and written with the likes of Awolnation, Goldroom, Sego and The Moth & The Flame, Goldman is something of an industry veteran. It’s that same experience that has helped hone his current sound, “feeling the pressure to create and realise something on my own without compromise.”

The cut’s accompanying video is an animated delight. Blending vivacious colours and endearing animation, the visuals were created by animator Zach Zezima.

“I’ve worked with Zach before and love his work. This video came together almost serendipitously. Zach had pretty much finished the animation and was seeking a home for it when he reached out to me. I knew instantly it would be  perfect for Girls. Both the song and animation share the same dysfunctional core of love and resentment,” notes Goldman.
