It may be #NewMusicFriday but with the big freeze currently taking over the UK, it’s not all fun and games… except it kinda of is,  because we’ve got a helping “Tetris” especially for you.

Dropping in courtesy of US pop maestro Madilyn Bailey, this fresh track interlaces retro arcade sounds, soaring choruses and enough hot, pulsating synths to warm you for the foreseeable future. First capturing the world’s attention with her cover of David Guetta’s “Titanium” (wracking up nearly 100 million views) the only way is up for this pop newcomer.

Capturing the surge of excitement and anticipation that comes from tumbling into love, the cut can’t help but captivate with choruses so hum-able, your office will threaten to kick you out for persistent annoyance no time.

“Tetris is a song I wrote about how two completely different people with completely different backgrounds, quirks, passions AKA “shapes” can come together to make one beautiful picture,” notes Madilyn. “I think at times we all need to be reminded that in a relationship it’s not about being perfect but about how we can complement each other, imperfections and all.”

Featuring a super slick pop sound reminiscent of current high flyers like Dua Lipa and Charli XCX, the latest cut may not be for everyone but the hard-hitting, heavy hooks are undeniable.
