Think The Flaming Lips x The Strokes then add a dash of progressive- funk and mescaline-induced lyrics – yup, we’d say you’re almost there! The American five piece illustrate a psychedelic story, quipping “The prison’s making the products with the prices momma loves the best” – the perfect satirical riddle on the realities of society. Paired with the robotic repetition of “it’s all in” throughout the chorus, the result is a trippy groove that leaves you itching to dance.
And did we mention the video? Popping with colour and throwback effects, the video to “In Demand” was tailor made by Norman Tumolva to channel references to early MTV, and provide the fitting visuals for a cult kinda track.
