An eerie yet powerful offering, today’s Track Of The Day, “Lion” comes direct from a project who haven’t yet mastered the art of the space bar.
Plucky guitars and soothing choruses combine to create SomeKindaWonderful‘s signature sound. Bringing forth an unrelenting groove that will seep deep into your bones, “Lion” slowly builds into what can only be described as a ferocious and hair raising roar of dominance.
“‘Lion’ is about mortality, but also about continuing to follow your dream,” he said of the track’s inspiration. “I’m getting older and starting to feel my mortality in everything that I experience. Things are changing, but I know that I’m a fighter at heart, and I’ll stay young and curious forever.”
The project, formed of singer/multi-instrumentalist Jordy Towers and a producer Nicolai Potthoff, is a mesmerising offering. Bold, well crafted and harbouring glimmers of brilliance, SomeKindaWonderful produce a sound that is just that.
