The Ninth Wave

Unleashing ferocious guitar lines that can’t help but please, “Swallow Me” is the latest release from The Ninth Wave, a band set to, erm, make waves in 2018.

Intertwining fuzz-filled strings with indulgent, reverb laden vocals, the track is a dark yet delightful offering. A true eighties-meets-teenies soundscape, the cut offers up blissful, synth-laden highlights with an edge of the sinister. To be honest, it’s a sound that would feel right at home nestled next to Eleven on an episode of Stranger Things.

“‘Swallow Me’ is about being used and is based around an observation of a dysfunctional relationship and the damage caused,” note the band. “For the victim, the realisation of the situation they are in is hard to swallow.”

The second single ripped kicking and screaming from their forthcoming EP Never Crave Attention, this is a band to keep a beady eye on.
