Returning with yet another soul-shaking pop anthem in the form of new single “The Astronaut“, South African American artist and producer Vian Izak refuses to let us forget him.
His fourth release, composed on an old vanity grand piano from the 1920s, blends intense drum fills with the delicate tinkering of ivories. Ever the storyteller, Izak brings to life the tale of one astronaut’s vision of the end of the world as he watches from the desolation of space. It’s an offering that would fit seamlessly into a blockbuster soundtrack, invoking a daydream-like haze that blends panic with an eerily calm sense of contentment.
Blending unique indie-pop vibes with the playful illustrations created by his brother Hein, Izak’s newest release is sure to be as big a hit as the previous Revolver Remixes (which charted on Spotify Canada’s Viral Top 50).
