Pairing jangling guitars with slick indie riffs, Voodoo and the Crypts are stepping up to show the music world how it’s done.

Bringing forth dance tinged indie with a smattering of 80s pop, fresh cut “Feeling” is a feast for the ears. Featuring a continuous four-to-the floor kick drum accompanied by rattling hats and a whip-crack snare, the track melds layered, arpeggiated guitar lines with lyrics that expose wickedly dark undertones.

The Essex natives’ accompanying video is a suitably quirky offering, bringing geek chic slap bang into the twenty-first-century. Teaming up with acclaimed director Torz Ayling (Becky Hill and Grouplove), the fresh video boasts a strong ‘Napoleon Dynamite’-esque narrative, served up with plenty of humour.

A statement of intent, “Feeling” cements these new kids on the block as serious indie contenders.
