It may be a term commonly used to describe indifference, but the latest single from Brooklyn duo Blasé is anything but.
Synth smothered vocals add a distinctly pop-infused edge to their latest offering “Blipp“. But don’t be fooled, the harmonious verse is suddenly interjected by the unrelenting pound of a bass drum smothered with various layers of percussion. Wild squawks ring out over the track, creating a soundscape that explores an area far beyond the synth-heavy wilderness we were initially led to.
These boys have created something that, despite having a quirky and alternative edge, is friendly enough to appeal to the masses. There’s some ruddy great easy listening right there!
