I love grapes, you love grapes, we all love grapes. Well, you sure as hell ought to after checking out this sweet little offering from Johannesburg indie-pop outfit Yo Grapes.
Fresh cut “Weekend Shy Boy” is so laid back, it’s positively horizontal. Merging funk-filled undercurrents with jangly guitar riffs, this is that uber-cool summer anthem that never quite hits the mainstream. Featuring a hypnotising groove, the cut tells a sweet love story which, like most pursuits, ultimately ends in disappointment. Life can be fucking shit, can’t it?
