OSRS FEB Playlist

We’re back with a fresh dose of new music this chilly February. Ditch those dishevelled valentine’s roses and demolish the last of those chocolates, because it’s time to make room for a whopping great dose of sonic delight.

These are the artists you need on your radar this month. Delving into the depths of the internet, rifling through online playlists with a fine tooth comb and spying on your listening habits with MI5 calibre recording devices (OK, so that last one’s a lie), we’ve had our finger on the pulse where emerging indie, pop and rock tracks are concerned.

Caro have infiltrated our speakers with their strain of electro tinged math rock, blending glitchy hints of Hot Chip with indie choruses that soar for the heavens. It’s an utterly indulgent offering. One Stop favourites Speak Brother offer up the infectious “Magnesium Burn”, alongside the fierce sound of retro-punk tinged Aussies HURST with latest cut “Rattle Kid“.

DON BROCO make an emphatic return with “The Blues” taken from their riff heavy new album Technology. It’s a relentless, bass laden track, so be prepared for three minutes of speaker shredding. Paired with the truly soulful tones of MIA GLADSTONE (we’re on a capital role here), she’s artist set to make an assertive mark on the industry this coming year, led by killer track “Revolutionize”. Add to that Keir and the searing tune “Night and Day”. Merging reverb laden vocals and verses that pack one hell of a punch, this is one artist worthy of your attention.

Samuel Jack unleashes the searing “Kill All The Lights” – a track depicting an inner struggle, battling his demons throughout the songwriting process. The Wombats make a triumphant return following the “Black Flamingo”  PLYA come up trumps with the synth laden “Adrenaline”, whilst DUETS AND STUFF unleash an intriguing debut in the form of indie pop cut “Serve Somebody”.

And while all that sonic mayhem is taking place within earshot, Scandi superstar Veronica Maggio steps up to the plate, serving up her first English offering in over a decade. Brazen favourites Dream Wife unleash the deviant “Hey Heartbreaker”, while Twin Wild command our ears with the infectious “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay”. Last but not least, The Faim complete our playlist this month, serving up the fierce “Saints And Sinners”, a roaring cut that makes a bid for playlist dominance.

Needless to say, check out our playlist below and give it a cheeky follow for a regular dose of fresh new music.
