It’s time for a mellow dose of glitchy soul. Yup, if that sounds like a weird and wonderful combination, well, you’d be spot on.
While Lemuel Dufez has always carried a number of titles, his latest solo project coined DEVOTED (Lemuel in Hebrew is ‘devoted to God’) brings a fresh wave of synths to our eardrums.
Fresh cut “Santa Fe” sees Dufez collaborate with UK-vocalist Billionaire, crafting a laid-back sound that’s easily devoured. Depicting a tale of travelling and longing for the comfort of home, this romantically synth-heavy cut is a blissful offering.
“Working with John is like finding the girl of your dreams,” remarks DEVOTED. “The one that clicks before a conversation is ever exchanged. When we first met, my English was still very broken yet he was able to understand my vision with little to no words spoken. I’m confident that I can play him the weirdest/roughest ideas and he’s going to catch my idea and shape the record into what it needs to be.”
